Reservations & Rental Rules

*Please Note: The total booking figure includes the rental and the deposit price combined. Your rental request will be pending approval until you scroll down to the bottom of the page and fill out the boxes. Please make sure to read all information below before proceeding. 

Thank you for your interest in Little House of Glencoe. We have developed an online system which allows you to view live available dates on our calendar, request a reservation and pay for your rental.  Once you’ve confirmed that your date and rental period are available, you may make your request via this system.

*For new renters, a request for proof of age may be required. A separate email will be sent asking for this information if necessary. 

Our system will not allow for rentals that are less than 7 days out from the date of your request. If you require a date that is less than 7 days out, please contact us at littlehouseofglencoe690@gmail.com .

*PAYMENT IS DUE 24-48 HOURS AFTER YOU HAVE RECEIVED YOUR APPROVAL EMAIL WITH PAYMENT OPTIONS! 

IF PAYMENT IS NOT RECEIVED, YOUR RENTAL WILL BE CANCELLED! 

*If you haven’t received your approval email, please check your spam folder.

*GROUP SIZES:

Little House rental group sizes are limited to no more than 60 people this includes the outdoor area as well.

*Please don’t make a request for rental if you know your group is larger than 60 people thinking that you could use the outdoor area for over flow. We currently do not have the capability to monitor our rentals, and must rely on the honor system so we expect our renters to abide by our rules. If we find that a renter has had more than 60 people in their group, we will keep your deposit and you will no longer be able to rent at Little House. No exceptions. 

PARKING: There is limited parking at Little House. If there isn’t enough space for your group in the parking circle, renters are encouraged to park on side streets off of Birch Road where allowed. Any signs indicating parking restrictions on the streets should be visible. Little House of Glencoe is NOT responsible for any parking tickets that may be issued due to improper parking.  

Location: Little House is located in a quiet residential area. We have a very respectful relationship with our neighbors and expect our renters to abide by our rules for outside noise and music.  Any outdoor noise and music MUST come to an end at 10:00pm. You may continue your event inside until the end of your rental period. Our neighbors will call the police if they feel it is necessary. If the police are called, you will lose your deposit no exceptions.

Rental Rates & Times: All rentals are from 10 AM to 12 AM. Renters must vacate the property by midnight sharp. This incudes making time to clean up before vacating. If we find that a renter has stayed past the rental time, $100 will be deducted from your deposit. Once all rentals have concluded, the house will be inspected.

Regular rental rate: $350 10am-12am

Not-for-profit rate: $200 10am-12am (Proof of non-profit status will be requested for first time renters before rentals can be approved.)

Scouts Only Rate: $140 10am-12am (Any scouts new to Little House may be asked to provide proof that they are a legal scout troop. )

*Deposit: A $500 deposit is required in order to rent.  A $100 cleaning fee will be deducted from the deposit once the rental has ended and the house has been inspected. If the house is left in clean condition, the renter will received a refund of $400. Please allow 7-10 business days for the deposit to show up in your account.

*Please note: The amount that you will pay includes a deposit. If your group is renting for more than one day, you will only be charged once for the deposit.

Overnight stays: Overnight stays are not permitted for one-day rentals at Little House, except for scouts. If you require an overnight stay, you will need to request an additional rental day.

*Any request for an additional day must be made at the time of your initial rental request. If the need for an extra day arises after your request has been submitted, please submit a new request before your *event date. *Please note: we cannot accept rental requests made fewer than seven days prior to your event. 

Cleaning up:

*Please make sure that you leave enough time to clean up and vacate by 12am!

Renters are required to complete their cleanup before their rental time expires. Asking to return the next day for cleanup is not permitted. Although we charge a cleaning fee, we expect renters to leave the house in the same condition as when they arrived, ensuring the next guest can enjoy the space. Please allocate extra time for cleanup to ensure you finish by midnight. Any renter who exceeds their rental time will incur a $100 deduction from their deposit.

Clean up & garbage disposal:

Please make sure to clean up the counter and floors. In addition, please remove all food from the refrigerator and do not leave any food behind. In addition, please make sure to clean up around the outside area. Do not leave any garbage behind on the grounds or in the forest area. 

Do not leave ANY garbage inside the house! If your garbage doesn’t fit in the outdoor cans provided out back to the left of the house, you must take the rest of the garbage with you. Little House is not a dumping ground. 

PLEASE DON’T FEED THE ANIMALS! Little House is located in a forest environment which is shared by wild animals that love garbage! If your garbage is not disposed of properly in the four cans that we have provided and the lids aren’t shut tight, the animals will eat the garbage.

If garbage is found around the property or inside the house, an additional $100 will be deducted from the deposit.
